Confidentiality of information permits its use by importing signatory authorities for investigation and legal proceedings. Information obtained under the investigative regime for determination of origin is confidential and may be utilized to clarify matters under investigation by the competent authorities of the importing Signatory Party and during administrative investigations and legal proceedings under the Preferential Trade Agreement framework.
