Foreign scholarship reporting: recipients must notify government of amount, source and purpose, with limited exemptions. Recipients of foreign scholarships, stipends or similar payments must, within prescribed time and manner, intimate the amount received, the foreign source and the purpose. For recurring payments, a single intimation stating the intervals and purpose suffices. No intimation is required if the annual value of such payments does not exceed limits to be specified by rules under the Act.
