Power to exempt: government may grant conditional exemptions from FCRA provisions and revoke them as necessary. The Central Government may, if it considers it necessary or expedient in the interests of the general public, by order and subject to conditions specified therein, exempt any association (not a political party), organisation or individual (not a candidate for election) from operation of all or any provisions of the Act, and may revoke or modify such orders as often as necessary.
