of <h1>Section 27: Service by Post Deemed Complete with Proper Address, Prepaid, Registered Mail, Unless Proven Otherwise.</h1> Section 27 of the General Clauses Act, 1897, stipulates that when any Central Act or Regulation requires a document to be served by post, the service is considered effected if the document is properly addressed, prepaid, and sent via registered post. The service is presumed to occur at the time the letter would ordinarily be delivered, unless proven otherwise. This provision applies to expressions like 'serve,' 'give,' or 'send' unless a different intention is explicitly stated in the Act or Regulation.
