<h1>Section 18 of General Clauses Act: Successors Indicated by Reference in Central Acts and Regulations Since 1868.</h1> Section 18 of the General Clauses Act, 1897, addresses the indication of legal relations to successors of functionaries or corporations with perpetual succession. It states that in any Central Act or Regulation enacted after the Act's commencement, it suffices to refer to the functionaries or corporations to indicate their successors. This provision applies to all Central Acts made after January 3, 1868, and to all Regulations made on or after January 14, 1887.
