Stoppage in transit allows unpaid sellers to resume and retain possession of goods in transit upon buyer insolvency until payment. Right of stoppage in transit permits an unpaid seller who has parted with possession to resume and retain possession of goods while they remain in the course of transit if the buyer becomes insolvent, and to hold them until payment or tender of the price.
