Transfer of property on approval: buyer acceptance or retention without rejection triggers transfer after fixed or reasonable time. Property in goods delivered on approval or 'on sale or return' passes to the buyer when he signifies acceptance or does any act adopting the transaction; if he neither signifies acceptance nor gives notice of rejection but retains the goods, the property passes on expiry of a fixed return period or, if none was fixed, on the expiration of a reasonable time.
