of <h1>Misconduct by authorised representative in Act proceedings triggers disqualification, but only after enquiry and opportunity to be heard</h1> An authorised representative found, after an enquiry, guilty of misconduct in connection with any proceedings under the Act may be disqualified from appearing as an authorised representative. The Commissioner is empowered to impose such disqualification only after providing the authorised representative an opportunity of being heard, with the operative consequence that the person is barred from representing parties in proceedings under the Act.
