Withdrawal of appeal before Section 29(2) order: approval needed after acknowledgment; refiling must stay within limitation.
Permits an appellant to withdraw an appeal by filing an application at any time before issuance of the order under section 29(2) of the Act, thereby allowing discontinuance of pending appellate proceedings at that stage. Where an acknowledgment has been issued, withdrawal requires approval of the appellate authority, and the withdrawal application must be decided within seven days of its filing, thereby making withdrawal contingent on authority approval and time-bound determination. Any fresh appeal filed after such withdrawal must be filed within the limitation period prescribed under section 29(1) or 29(2), as applicable, thereby preventing extension of the statutory appeal period through withdrawal and refiling.
