Schedule amendment power allows the Central Government to add goods by notification, subject to parliamentary laying requirements. The Central Government may, by notification and in the public interest, add goods to Schedule I, and the Schedule is deemed amended accordingly. Each such notification must be laid before both Houses of Parliament as soon as possible after issuance.
