Health security and national security cess framework imposes a cess on manufacturing processes for public purposes. The Health Security and National Security Cess Act, 2025 is enacted to augment resources for national security and public health by imposing a cess on the machines installed or other processes undertaken through which specified goods are manufactured or produced. The Act also covers matters connected or incidental to that levy. It comes into force on a date to be appointed by the Central Government by notification in the Official Gazette, and its short title is the Health Security and National Security Cess Act, 2025.
