Proof of origin options permit exporters to use certificates or origin declarations to establish preferential origin under CEPA. Proof of origin under the CEPA framework may be established by a paper or electronic Certificate of Origin issued by a competent authority, a fully digitised Certificate exchanged via a mutually developed electronic system, or an origin declaration by an approved exporter; Certificates have a prescribed validity from date of issue and must be submitted to the importing Party's Customs Administration per that Party's procedures.
