of <h1>New Rules Define Goods Origin Under India-UAE Trade Agreement, Effective May 2022, Under Customs Tariff Act, 1975.</h1> The Customs Tariff (Determination of Origin of Goods under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between India and the United Arab Emirates) Rules, 2022, were established by the Central Government under the authority of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975. These rules, issued by the Ministry of Finance's Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, specify the criteria for determining the origin of goods traded under the economic partnership agreement between India and the UAE. They were officially notified on April 30, 2022, and came into effect on May 1, 2022.
