Certificate of Origin applications require documentary proof and permit targeted pre export verification using risk management methods.

Applications for a Certificate of Origin must be submitted electronically by the producer, manufacturer or exporter with supporting documents proving origin, the minimum information set in Annexure A, the commercial invoice or other origin documents, and HS code, description, quantity and value if not already provided. Multiple items may be declared on one certificate provided each item qualifies separately. The issuing authority may use a risk management system to conduct selective pre export verification, including requesting cost sheets and performing factory visits.
