Power to amend schedule: executive may add or remove schemes by notification, changing regulated deposit status and triggering parliamentary laying. Central Government may, by notification and having regard to the objects of the Act and if it considers necessary or expedient, add to or omit from the First Schedule any scheme or arrangement so that it becomes, or ceases to be, a Regulated Deposit Scheme; a copy of every such notification must, as soon as may be, be laid before each House of Parliament.
