of <h1>Deposit Takers Can Apply to Deposit Fair Value Instead of Attachment Under Section 17 of BUDS Act 2019</h1> Section 17 of the Banning of Unregulated Deposit Schemes Act, 2019, allows a deposit taker, a person, or a transferee whose property is about to be attached or has been provisionally attached to apply to the Designated Court to deposit the fair value of the property instead of undergoing attachment. This application must be made before the attachment is confirmed. The court may also require the applicant to pay additional costs as deemed necessary.
