NFRA resignations require written notice to the Central Government and continue for three months unless a successor assumes office.

Resignation of a chairperson or member of the National Financial Reporting Authority is by a written notice to the Central Government; the office holder must, unless permitted to relinquish earlier by the Central Government, continue in office for three months from receipt of the notice, or until a duly appointed successor assumes office, or until the expiry of the term, whichever is earliest.
