<h1>Central Government may remove NFRA chairperson or member for insolvency, conviction, incapacity, conflict of interest, or misconduct.</h1> The Central Government can remove the chairperson or a member of the National Financial Reporting Authority based on the recommendation of a designated Committee. Grounds for removal include insolvency, conviction of an offense involving moral turpitude, physical or mental incapacity, conflicting financial interests, or abuse of position detrimental to public interest. The chairperson or member involved in the issue cannot be part of the Committee. Members facing removal for reasons other than insolvency must be given a fair chance to present their case before any action is taken.
