Eligibility and experience rules for registering as a valuer across asset classes: plant machinery, land buildings, and securities
Prescribes eligibility qualifications and minimum experience for registration as a valuer under specified asset classes. For plant and machinery, requires a graduate degree in specified engineering disciplines or valuation of plant and machinery (five years' experience) or a relevant post-graduate degree (three years' experience), enabling registration upon meeting the corresponding threshold. For land and building, requires a graduate degree in civil engineering/architecture/town planning (five years' experience) or a relevant post-graduate degree including valuation/real estate valuation (three years' experience), enabling registration for that asset class. For securities or financial assets, requires specified professional membership or finance post-graduation with three years' experience, enabling registration in that class. Qualifications must be from a recognised university/equivalent, and relevant AICTE nomenclature is accepted for engineering branches.
