of <h1>Company valuations of assets, shares, securities, goodwill and liabilities under Registered Valuers Rules 2017; other-law valuations unaffected.</h1> These rules prescribe their short title as the Companies (Registered Valuers and Valuation) Rules, 2017 and provide that they commence on the date of publication in the Official Gazette, thereby making the rules operative from that date. They further specify that the rules apply to valuations under the Companies Act, 2013 or these rules in respect of any property, stocks, shares, debentures, securities, goodwill, other assets, net worth, or liabilities of a company, thereby regulating such company-related valuations within the Act's framework. An express clarification provides that valuations conducted under any other law by any person are not affected by the coming into force of these rules, thereby preserving the validity and continuity of non-Companies Act valuation regimes.
