of <h1>Valuation Rules for Companies: 2017 Guidelines Apply to Assets, Clarified by 2018 Amendments Under Companies Act</h1> The Companies (Registered Valuers and Valuation) Rules, 2017, established by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, apply to the valuation of properties, stocks, shares, debentures, securities, goodwill, or any other assets or liabilities of a company as per the Companies Act, 2013. These rules came into effect upon publication in the Official Gazette. They do not affect valuations conducted under other laws. Amendments made in November 2018 clarified the scope and application of these rules, ensuring they are specific to the provisions of the Companies Act or these rules.
