Companies compromise and arrangement hearings require advertised notice and direct service to objectors and authorities before the hearing.
Rule 16 prescribes that a Tribunal must fix a hearing date for petitions in compromise and arrangement proceedings and requires publication of the hearing notice in the same newspaper used for meeting notices or another directed by the Tribunal at least ten days before the hearing; the Tribunal must also serve the notice on objectors or their representatives and on the Central Government and other authorities who sought to be heard, thereby imposing procedural obligations for public advertisement and direct service to interested parties to secure participation rights.
