of <h1>Registrar Gains Expanded Powers Under Rule 45: Amend Appeals, Schedule Hearings, Manage Documents Per Tribunal Directions</h1> The Registrar of the Customs, Excise, and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal is endowed with specific additional powers and duties under Rule 45 of the 1982 Procedure Rules. These include requiring amendments to appeals or petitions to align with Tribunal practices, scheduling hearings and issuing notices, settling case indexes, directing formal amendments of records, and managing the provision of document copies and inspection permissions under rule 39. These responsibilities are subject to the President's orders and the directions of the respective Benches.
