Customs Tribunal Orders: Must Be Written, Signed, and Dated by Bench Members; Final Date Is Last Signature Date
Every order issued by the Customs, Excise, and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal must be written, signed, and dated by the Bench Members. The first page should include the last hearing date. If dictated on the Bench, the dictation date is the final order date. For reserved orders, the pronouncement date is the final order date. When a decision's gist is pronounced without a detailed order, the detailed order's first paragraph must specify the gist's pronouncement date. The final order date is when all Members sign, with the last signature date determining the order date.
