Inventory requirement ensures the Proper Officer prepares an inventory, records location, and provides a copy to the defaulter. After attachment of a defaulter's property, the Proper Officer must prepare an inventory of the attached property, specify where it is lodged or kept, and hand over a copy of that inventory to the defaulter or the person from whose charge the property was distrained.
