Notice for recovery of government dues: subordinate officer authorised to realise specified amount if defaulter fails to pay. The Principal Commissioner or Commissioner may authorise a subordinate officer to serve a notice on the defaulter requiring payment of the amount specified in the Certificate and to intimate that, on default, the authorised subordinate officer is empowered to take steps under the Rules to realise the specified amount.
