MCA Delegates Powers to Regional Directors in Major Cities u/s 458 of Companies Act 2013.

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs, under Section 458 of the Companies Act, 2013, delegates certain powers and functions to Regional Directors in Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, and Shillong. This delegation supersedes previous notifications from July 2012 and May 2014, except for actions already taken. The delegated powers cover various sections of the Act related to company conversions, alterations, and other corporate governance matters. The Central Government retains the right to revoke this delegation or exercise the powers directly if deemed necessary in the public interest. The notification is effective from its publication date in the Official Gazette.
