<h1>India Delegates Companies Act Powers to Regional Directors; Central Government Retains Revocation Rights for Public Interest.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, has delegated certain powers and functions under the Companies Act, 2013, to Regional Directors in Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Noida, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, and Shillong. This delegation, effective from the date of publication in the Official Gazette, includes powers related to sections concerning alterations of company memoranda, company conversions, and other specific provisions. The Central Government retains the authority to revoke these delegations or exercise these powers directly if deemed necessary for public interest. This notification supersedes a previous notification from July 10, 2012, except for actions already completed under it.
