of <h1>Tour Operator Services Exempt from Service Tax if Entire Tour Occurs Outside India, per Notification No. 25/2012.</h1> Services provided by a tour operator to a foreign tourist are exempt from service tax if the tour is conducted entirely outside India, as per Notification No. 25/2012 and its amendment on 11th July 2014. For instance, if a tour operator based in Mumbai organizes a tour for British nationals to Nepal, with travel directly between the UK and Nepal, the service is not subject to service tax. This exemption applies only when the entire tour takes place outside Indian territory.
