of <h1>Foreign diplomatic missions in India exempt from service tax under Section 66D(c); includes services to diplomats' families.</h1> Services provided by foreign diplomatic missions in India are exempt from service tax as per the Negative List effective from July 1, 2012, under Section 66D(c). This exemption also extends to services provided to family members of diplomatic agents, as specified in Notification No. 27/2012-ST. The definition of 'India' for these purposes includes its territory, territorial waters, continental shelf, exclusive economic zone, and related maritime zones. The exemption does not apply to services provided by offices or establishments of international organizations.
