Repeal and saving preserve prior foreign contribution permissions and orders as effective until withdrawn or revoked.

Section 54 repeals the FCRA, 1976 and deems actions, permissions and orders made under the repealed Act to have effect under corresponding provisions of the FCRA, 2010 insofar as they are not inconsistent with the 2010 Act. Prior permissions for organizations of a political nature, permissions to accept foreign hospitality, prior permissions to accept foreign contribution, and specified orders are to continue under the corresponding sections of the 2010 Act until withdrawn, varied or revoked by the Central Government, and the general effect of repeal is subject to the General Clauses Act.
