Certification for appeal permits certain customs judgments and tribunal references to be escalated to a higher forum. Amendment broadens clause (a) so that High Court judgments in customs appeals, tribunal references made before the cutoff, and specified appellate references may be certified immediately after judgment, on the court's own motion or by oral application, as fit for appeal to the Supreme Court.
