Settlement Commission timelines: decision within one year and final order within four years after application allowed. The amendment requires the Settlement Commission, where possible, to reject or allow an application under section 22D(1) by order within one year from the end of the month the application was made; and inserts sub-section (4A) obliging the Commission, where possible, to pass an order under sub-section (4) within four years from the end of the financial year in which the application was allowed to be proceeded with.
