<h1>Constitution (1st Amendment) Act, 1951: Changes to Article 176 on Legislative Assembly Sessions and Removal of Discussion Precedence.</h1> Article 176 of the Constitution was amended by the Constitution (1st Amendment) Act, 1951. In clause (1), the phrase 'every session' was replaced with 'the first session after each general election to the Legislative Assembly and at the commencement of the first session of each year.' In clause (2), the provision regarding the precedence of certain discussions over other business of the House was removed.
