<h1>Constitution (1st Amendment) Act, 1951: Article 87 revised to change session terms and remove discussion precedence in House.</h1> Article 87 of the Constitution was amended by the Constitution (1st Amendment) Act, 1951. In clause (1), the phrase 'every session' was replaced with 'the first session after each general election to the House of the People and at the commencement of the first session of each year.' In clause (2), the provision for the precedence of discussion over other business of the House was removed.
