Reservation and concessions remain applicable to eligible categories under central government orders for service rules. Rule 17 provides that nothing in these Rules affects entitlement to reservation, age relaxation or other concessions for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Economically Weaker Sections, ex servicemen and other special categories of persons; such benefits are to be provided in accordance with rules and orders issued by the Central Government from time to time.
