Tribunal officers' pay and leave tied to Central Government rules; deputationists keep parent pension, PF, medical options
Conditions of service of Tribunal officers and employees regarding pay, allowances, leave and allied service matters are prescribed to be regulated by the rules and regulations applicable to Central Government officers and employees in the corresponding pay scale, thereby aligning Tribunal service conditions with the Central Government framework. For deputationists, provident fund, group/other insurance schemes, superannuation age, pension and retirement benefits are to remain governed by the rules of their parent organisation, with the operative consequence that their existing retirement and social security entitlements continue unchanged. The Tribunal must recover scheme contributions from salary and promptly remit them to the lending organisation, and must bear any loss of interest caused by delayed remittance. Employees may opt for medical facilities under their parent organisation or as per Schedule II, enabling an election between the two medical benefit regimes.
