<h1>Foreign Portfolio Investors Must Collect $800 Fee from Offshore Derivative Subscribers, Payable to SEBI Every Three Years</h1> A foreign portfolio investor must collect a regulatory fee of US $800, or another amount specified by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), from each subscriber of offshore derivative instruments it issues. This fee is to be deposited with SEBI via electronic transfer into a designated bank account once every three years, starting from April 1, 2017. The fee amount was updated in a notification effective from November 1, 2022, reducing it from the previous US $1000.
