of <h1>SEBI Regulations Permit Revocation of Unique ID Numbers for Fraud, Misrepresentation, or Mistake with Right to Representation</h1> The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) regulations allow for the revocation of a unique identification number if it was obtained through fraud, misrepresentation, or mistake. The Board must provide the individual an opportunity to make representations before revoking the number. Upon revocation, the regulations apply as if the number was never allotted. All orders by the Board regarding this matter must be documented in writing.
