Penalty powers for customs brokers allow administrative fines for regulatory breaches while preserving other legal remedies. Regulatory provision empowers senior customs officials to impose administrative penalties on Customs Brokers, F card holders and, through subordinate officers, on G card holders for contraventions of the Customs Brokers Licensing Regulations, 2018; it further provides that such administrative penalties or actions are without prejudice to remedies available under the Customs Act or other law.
