of <h1>Rule 30 amended: Verification of goods' origin allowed post-clearance under India-Chile trade agreement. Notification 48/2017.</h1> Rule 30 of the Rules of Determination of Origin of Goods under the Preferential Trading Agreement between India and Chile, as amended by Notification 48/2017, allows for the verification and control of the origin of goods even after they have been cleared for home consumption. This rule replaces the previous provision, which stated that once an investigation concluded in favor of the importer, any guarantees requested would be released within 30 days, or duties paid in excess would be refunded according to domestic legislation.
