of <h1>Importing Party Must Complete Verification in 60-90 Days per Rule 18 of India-Chile Trade Agreement</h1> The competent authorities of the importing party must complete verification within sixty to ninety days after receiving all requested information under Rule 18 of the Preferential Trading Agreement between India and Chile. If additional investigative actions or information are needed, the importing party must inform the exporting party, and the new actions or additional information must be completed within sixty days of receipt. This rule was substituted in 2017, replacing provisions that allowed the importing party to request new information, access documentation, conduct verification visits, and engage specialists to verify the authenticity and veracity of origin certificates and production processes.
