Export duties: central government may urgently amend the tariff schedule by notification to increase or impose duties. Central Government may, when satisfied that an increase or levy of export duty on any article is necessary and immediate action is required, issue a notification in the Official Gazette directing amendment of the Second Schedule to provide for the increased or newly levied export duty; sub-sections (3) and (4) of Section 7 apply to such notifications as they apply to notifications under sub-section (2) of Section 7.
