Export duty on hides and skins increased; tariff schedule amended to raise duty rate for tanned and untanned leathers. The Central Government directed an amendment to the Second Schedule of the Customs Tariff Act by substituting the entry in column (3) for Heading No. 14 with a revised export duty rate, affecting hides, skins and leathers, tanned and untanned, and excluding manufactured leather goods under other headings.
