Amendment to section 279 adds section 277A, widening the covered provisions effective from October 1, 2004. The amendment substitutes the phrase 'section 277 or section 278' in sub section (1) of section 279 with 'section 277, section 277A or section 278,' thereby incorporating section 277A into the scope of section 279(1); the substitution is effective from 1 October 2004.
