<h1>Authorities Designated for Compliance Certification Under Wealth Tax Rules, 1957: Chief Controller of Imports & Controller of Capital Issues</h1> For the purposes of section 5(1)(xxxiv) of the Wealth Tax Rules, 1957, specific authorities are designated to certify compliance with certain conditions. The Chief Controller of Imports and Exports, Ministry of Commerce, is responsible for determining and certifying the export percentage of a company's total production. The Controller of Capital Issues, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, certifies equity share capital issues made after March 31, 1976, for the expansion or diversification of industrial undertakings. These roles were established under the Wealth-tax (Third Amendment) Rules, 1977.
