Term of office for Board members is two years, with continuance until successor and subject to the government's pleasure. Non-official members normally hold office for two years from appointment or nomination and continue until their successor is appointed; casual vacancy nominees serve the remainder of the term; official members hold office until replaced; written substitute nominations may be made for meetings and such substitutes have full member rights for that meeting; members serve during the pleasure of the Central Government.
