of <h1>Regulation 8: Authorised Agents Handle Import Duties but Importers Bear Full Responsibility Including Penalties and Dues.</h1> Regulation 8 of the Postal Imports Regulations, 2025 outlines the role and responsibilities of an authorised agent in customs procedures. An authorised agent can fulfill any obligation required of the importer. The importer remains fully responsible for the actions and transactions conducted by the agent, including any government dues or penalties. Despite this, the authorised agent is also subject to regulations under sections 146 and 147 of the governing Act.
