of <h1>New Postal Imports Rules 2025: Exclusions Include Animals, Plants, Perishables, Certain Publications, and Precious Metals Under Customs Act 1962.</h1> The Postal Imports Regulations, 2025, apply to the assessment and clearance of goods imported via Foreign Post Offices as specified under the Customs Act, 1962. However, these regulations exclude certain categories of goods, such as animals and plants (including parts), perishables, publications with incorrect Indian boundaries, and precious metals or stones. Additionally, goods imported under export promotion schemes outlined in the Foreign Trade Policy for the years 2009-14, 2015-20, or 2023 are also exempt from these regulations.
