Scope of postal imports: applies to customs assessment via notified foreign post offices, with specified testing and scheme exclusions. These Regulations apply to assessment and clearance of goods imported through Foreign Post Offices notified under clause (e) of section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962. They exclude goods requiring pre-clearance sample testing-animals and parts, plants and parts, perishables, publications with incorrect boundary maps, and precious and semi-precious stones, gold or silver-and exclude imports under export promotion schemes referenced in the Foreign Trade Policy series.
