<h1>Regulation 5: Customs Procedures for Inspecting and Clearing Postal Imports Using Risk-Based Assessment and Electronic Data</h1> Regulation 5 of the Postal Imports Regulations, 2025 outlines the procedures for the inspection, assessment, examination, and clearance of goods by Customs officers. Goods presented by the Postal Authority are subject to scanning and inspection. Customs officers may select goods for examination based on scanning results, risk evaluation, and information from relevant forms. A risk-based assessment can be conducted using Electronic Advance Data provided by the Postal Authority. Importers or their agents may be required to provide necessary documents. Clearance is granted if goods are not prohibited, and duties must be paid before delivery.
