of <h1>Rule 14: Chairperson and Members Can Opt for House Rent Allowance Instead of General Pool Residential Accommodation.</h1> Rule 14 of the Competition Appellate Tribunal (Salaries and Allowances and Other Terms and Conditions of Service of the Chairperson and Other Members) Rules, 2009, provides that the Chairperson and Members are entitled to General Pool Residential Accommodation. If they choose not to avail themselves of this facility, they are eligible for a House Rent Allowance equivalent to that of a Group 'A' officer of the Central or State Government with similar pay. This provision was amended in 2009, replacing an earlier rule that specified different accommodation entitlements based on location.
